About Only Cornwall
Privacy notice
We use Google Analytics to count visits, but only if you accept analytics cookies. We do not show advertising, and the site has no forms that collect your details.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic technical information (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Cookies and analytics
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookies are set unless you choose Accept. If you choose Reject, or make no choice, the site works exactly the same.
If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and how people find the site. We (Only Cornwall) are the controller and Google (Google Ireland Limited) processes the data on our behalf. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We have turned off Google signals and advertising features, and we do not use the data for advertising or share it for that purpose. Google may process data outside the UK under its standard data protection safeguards; see Google’s privacy policy and Google’s data processing terms.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits apart (a random ID, not your name) | 13 months |
_ga_KHPEF9YHXT | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit | 13 months |
Analytics reports are kept for 14 months and then deleted by Google. Your choice itself is saved in your browser’s local storage (oc-consent) for 12 months, so we do not ask on every page; it is not sent to us.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page. If you withdraw it, we stop analytics and delete the Google Analytics cookies on this site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out add-on.
You have rights over your data, including access and erasure; to use them, contact us through our contact page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Links to other sites, including the council and the Environment Agency, are covered by those sites’ own privacy policies.
